A beach getaway with a side of karate? Say no more! Join us us for the 38th Annual Sunshine Classic Open Tournament on September 12, 2026 at Jinks Middle School, 600 W 11th Street, Panama City, FL!
Competition categories include Sparring, Kata, and Musical Kata (Black Belt Only). The Sunshine Tournament also features a special needs Kata and Weapons Division.
Registration will be open from 9:00 am until 10:00 am, when the competitions begin. Participation is $70 during registration or $80 after 12 pm. CASH ONLY
Adult spectators cost $10 per person, $5 for children ages 6-12, and free for children under 6.

8:15 am to 8:45 am - Registration
8:40 am - Line up on the Beach for warm-up, stretching, and basics to get all our bodies ready for the full day ahead of karate training and fun.
12:00 - 1:45 pm - Lunch - Crabs Buffet -
2:00 - 4:00 - Return to the beach for additional training, activities, and fun and games for everyone as well as our dip in the ocean.

May 22 2027 - Summer Camp will be held at Lakepoint Resort, Eufaula, AL Registration and check-in begins at 8:30 AM. The workout begins at 9:00 AM. Don’t be late!

MAY 21st AND 22nd 2027 AT LAKEPPOINT RESORT IN EUFAULA. Al
ONLY KARATE STUDENTS PAY FOR SUMMER CAMP – PARENTS AND FAMILY MEMBERS ARE NOT REQUIRED TO PAY EVEN THOUGH THERE ARE ACTIVITIES YOU CAN PARTICIPATE IN.
LUNCH IS PROVIDED FOR EVERYONE
We would like to encourage all Instructors, black belts, kyu belt students and families to participate and make this the best summer camp ever.
There will be activities for non-karate students to participate in on Saturday.
Black Belt testing will be Friday May 21st at 5:00 p.m. in the main conference room at Lakepoint Resort in Eufaula, AL. There will be a Black Belt work-out while testing is going on for those who are not assisting with the testing.
Saturday afternoon we will have showmanship for each dojo to participate in. There can be more than one team from each dojo. This will be a three-person team for breaking or self-defense or weapons or katas or made-up musical. Use your imagination. Please make plans to participate. Please review video on the website that will help you to organize and set up your teams. The video is thanks to Mr. Cruz and his students.
Attending the camps will help strengthen students in their training and on their Black Belts testing’s when they are ready for the next step.
We hope to see everyone this year and make it the best summer camp ever.

We will have a Black Belt workout on April 22nd at the Dean Road Recreation Center in Auburn, AL. The address is: 307 S. Dean Road, Auburn, AL
The workout will be from 10:00 to 1:00. The building will open at 9:30 AM.

We will have a black belt workout at the Dean Road Rec Center, 307 South Dean Rd, Auburn, AL from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Classes will be taught by Master Hiroaki Toyama and Master Mike Culbreth.

We will have a Kata and Fighting Clinic at Friendship Community Center Gym, 2930 Friendship Road, Oxford, AL. . Please bring all of your weapons! The workout will cover katas, weapons, ippon kumite, counts, and movements.
Due to having to cancel Winter Camp we will have a black belt testing at the Westgate Recreation Center, 501 Recreation Dive in Dothan, Alabama. Testing will start at 10:00. Don’t forget to bring four pictures 2x2 in your Gi top.
ALL FIGHTERS WELCOME! Join us for our 27th annual Karate "SUPERFIGHTS" Tournament, featuring international fighters and world champions. Family members and spectators are welcome as well. There will be Point Fighting, Semi-Knock Down and Knock-Down Fighting.
Registration begins at 9 am, and fights start at 10 am. Daytime fighters for 2 divisions will be $60 and daytime Knockdown fighters will be $70 - CASH ONLY
The Tournament will be held at the Oxford Civic Center, Oxford, AL.
