May Black Belt testing and Summer Camp

May 15th 2026- Black Belt testing - Testing will start at 5:00 p.m. Spectators are welcome.

May 16th 2026 - Summer Camp will be held at Lakepoint Resort, Eufaula, AL   Registration and check-in begins at 8:30 AM. The workout begins at 9:00 AM. Don’t be late!

Schedule of events and meetings will follow.

WYKKO will need your PRE-REGISTRATION BY May 8, 2026 so that we can prepare for the food that will be required.  There is no charge for family members to eat, but we do need a head count.

September 12, 2026 - 38th Annual Sunshine Classic Open Tournament - NEW LOCATION

A beach getaway with a side of karate? Say no more! Join us us for the 37th Annual Sunshine Classic Open Tournament on September 12, 2026 at Jinks Middle School, 600 W 11th Street, Panama City, FL! NEW LOCATION AND NEW GYM

Competition categories include Sparring, Kata, and Musical Kata (Black Belt Only). The Sunshine Tournament also features a special needs Kata and Weapons Division. 

Registration will be open from 9:00 am until 10:00 am, when the competitions begin. Participation is $70 during registration or $80 after 12 pm. CASH ONLY

Adult spectators cost $10 per person, $5 for children ages 6-12, and free for children under 6.

This is a cash only event.

Join us for the 46th Annual Southern Region Open Karate Tournament location will be listed at a future time.

 Saturday February 21, 2026 WINTER WORKOUT - SCHEDULE

  • 8:15 am to 8:45 am - Registration

  • 8:40 am - Line up on the Beach for warm-up, stretching, and basics to get all our bodies ready for the full day ahead of karate training and fun.

  • 12:00 - 1:45 pm - Lunch - Crabs Buffet - $14.99

  • 2:00 - 4:00 - Return to the beach for additional training, activities, and fun and games for everyone as well as our dip in the ocean.

CANCELED DUE TO COVID-19: July 18, 2020 Yamamoto Cup

ALL FIGHTERS WELCOME! Join us for our 27th annual Karate "SUPERFIGHTS" Tournament, featuring international fighters and world champions. Family members and spectators are welcome as well. There will be Point Fighting, Semi-Knock Down and Knock-Down Fighting.

Registration begins at 9 am, and fights start at 10 am. Daytime fighters for 2 divisions will be $60 and daytime Knockdown fighters will be $70 - CASH ONLY

The Tournament will be held at the Oxford Civic Center, Oxford, AL.

Accomodations:  No Set Hotel

April 14, 2018 - World Yoshukai Closed Tournament

We are excited to announce this year's Traditional Tournament will take place in Atlanta. This is a closed tournament, which means only members of WYKKO can participate. Competition categories include Kata (Forms), Self-Defense (minimum of 5 attacks), Weapons, Sparring (Kumite),  and Semi-Knockdown

Location for the Tournament:
Roswell Recreation Area Park
Bill Johnson Community Activity Building

Traffic Suggestions:
- Avoid Atlanta during Rush Hour on Friday (3:30 PM to 7:30 PM)
- Listen to local radio stations for traffic reports (WSB 95.5 FM and News Radio 106.7)
- Use an up-to-date GPS or Smart Phone applications like Google Maps, Waze, INRIX, etc.
